Summary

Learn to communicate with an alien species and get them to share their advanced chemistry knowledge so that you can turn bronze, into silver and silver into gold.

Narrative

First Contact is one of the most dangerous Starfleet objectives due to its infinite unknown possible outcomes. However, respect and diplomacy are desirable skills and attributes for both Starfleet Officers and Scouting members. Building these skills makes for good leaders and good global/galactic citizens.

Briefing

Observe the advanced civilization to ascertain their capabilities and communication methods. Communicate with them to share knowledge about the Federation and learn from their expertise.

Instructions

Follow the instructions of the Mission Commanders to complete a successful First Contact Mission.

Use Terrain to record your goals based on the missions you intend to complete during Star Trek: Survival for presentation to and approval by your Unit Council.

Do
Complete any pre-work that might help you to complete the Mission, such as practicing using maps and radios, or doing research into particular concepts that missions mention that you may not be familiar with, or any other technologies or concepts you are curious about that might help you find success.
